Purpose
Young Kiwis in AI is a community for learning and building together. We expect respectful, safe, and inclusive behaviour across our online spaces and in person events.
Expected behaviour
- Be respectful, kind, and inclusive.
- Listen to others and engage in good faith.
- Respect privacy and obtain consent before sharing.
- Use welcoming language and avoid personal attacks.
- Follow event and platform rules, including Discord rules.
Unacceptable behaviour
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation.
- Hate speech or discriminatory language.
- Sexual harassment or unwelcome advances.
- Sharing private information without consent.
- Spam, scams, or deliberate disruption.
- Illegal content or activity.
Reporting and response
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this code, contact the organisers at hello@youngkiwisai.nz. We will review reports promptly and take appropriate action.
For immediate safety concerns, contact emergency services by calling 111 in New Zealand.
Enforcement
Actions may include a warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community. We aim to respond fairly and consistently.
Legal expectations in New Zealand
Our community respects New Zealand laws, including the Privacy Act 2020, the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015, and the Human Rights Act 1993. This code does not replace legal obligations and is not legal advice.
